Angels/Celestials

Angels, often called celestials, typically appear as a feminine or masculine human or elven figure either slightly taller than or about the same height as a normal human or elf. The most strongly identifying feature for most of a celestial are a large pair of feathered wings that are commonly white but other colors have been known to exist. All celestials, by their very nature, are good. While the vast majority of celestials are lawful good it is not impossible for a celestial to be chaotic good or neutral good. Strengths of a celestial include an affinity for divine or holy magic, the ability to fly due to their large wings, and fluency in celestial, the language of the angels. Weaknesses include a weakness to demonic or evil magic including evil artifacts and the inability to procreate naturally. Additionally, as the celestials were created as the embodiment of all the gods they are unable to disobey a direct order given to them by one of the gods.

Creation Story

Created by the Moon to balance all of the living creatures and embody all of the aspects of the gods the celestials were designed to represent all that is, was, or ever will be. There are always a set number of Angels. No more, no less. Most, however, do not show themselves on the mortal plane. ((OOC note - there are no restrictions on the actual number of celestial characters. That's why we don't outright say an actual number!)).

Place in the World

Celestials naturally inhabit a plane all their own generally thought of as the 'heavens' or a 'place in the sky'. Outside of the celestial plane angels may walk among any who roam the mortal lands.
