Dragons
Upon creation, dragons came in variation beyond many other species; from scale color to their very essence a dragon can be extraordinarily different from one another. With their variations, came different outlooks on the world and approaches. While one dragon might seek to rule over ‘lesser’ races, another might wish to live in harmony with them. Large, fierce, and with the power of flight dragons are not to be meddled with their size isn’t the only thing to take into account; they are able to wield powerful breath weapons, to which may be different depending on the dragon itself! Long lives, but not immortal can lead to different interests in a dragon’s mind. While some may hoard gold and other trinkets, some might value knowledge or reputation above all else.
Creation Story
Wisdom created the watchers of the worlds, beings mighty and powerful, stoic, thoughtful, slow to action, who would live long enough to understand the ever-changing needs of balancing the forces. These beings, called dragons, were granted implacable natures that would ensure any further created beings would be hard-pressed to disturb them. Their weakness would be their numbers, for in truth the duty was best entrusted to few. The dragons watched the world for years, recording the history of the world as it unfolded for safe keeping. When in need beings from the lowliest of beasts to the highest of kings came to the dragons to benefit from their collected wisdom. It is said that when Wisdom takes a mortal form, the oldest and wisest of the dragons is chosen to bear the burden, responsibility, and gift that befall the embodiment of wisdom itself.
Place in the World
Dragons can be found all across the land; some prefer habitats different than others however as a whole they can most likely be found within their lair. Lead by the Da’ar, a flight can be found within Novus. (A family, or kingdom of dragons) With a mostly neutral outlook on the realm, they can be a good source of wisdom to those whom seek the dragons out.
